A modern day MIRACLE

God heals people, and He also heals MAC books. I’m totally serious! Those of you who have been emailing me, have heard my plight. My mac book was a wee 6 weeks old when it suddenly broke-about 2 weeks ago. The computer stopped recognizing that is had a battery, and would only work when plugged in! Considering we run off generators here in Haiti for electicity, this made it near impossible to get much done on my computer. Plus, when the generator was on, there would be a second of no power through the lines, and my computer would instantly die. I was frustrated to tears-literally. I whinned about it, complained about it, until people were tired of listening. I tried to see what God wanted me to learn in this situation. Patience? To spend more time with Him? Either way, I prayed about it. Really, I did. Asking God to show me what He wanted me to learn, and I actually uttered the prayer, ‘if you want to heal my computer I know you can. There is nothing you cannot do, and if you want to fix my computer I know you can.” I promise you I prayed this right after it happened. In the meantime, Brandon called the Apple store trying to figure out what they could do to fix it. They said, “bring it in” haha. Not so easy in Haiti. So Brandon has been calling and emaling many Apple people, trying to get this resolved. I mean, come on, we bought the extra expensive Apple’s so this wouldn’t happen! Needless to say, we are beyond frustrated with Apple and their lack of care for our situation and their piece of crap brand new computer. I forgot about my request to God for a healing of my computer.

TODAY, I was doing a Bible study (on the book of Daniel) and today was in Daniel chapter 3. When king Nebuchadnezzar threw Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego into a fiery furnace because they would not bow down and  worship the idol of the king. The king was furious and said he would throw them into the furnace and they replied, v. 16. ” We do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand o King. But even if he does not, we want you to know, o King, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up”  And, in this case, the Lord chose to save and protect those three men. It was truly a miracle.  I thought to myself, have I experienced real life miracles like that? Us getting to Haiti was certainly a huge miracle that encompassed many small miracles. I praised God for that, and didn’t think much else of it as I went about the rest of my day. Well, I went to use my computer tonight, and had it plugged in. I wanted to go to another area-of course another room that had to have a plug, and disconnect myself. Well, when I sat back down to restart up my computer-assuming it would be off as usual-it was NOT. The light was on, and I thought,”that is strange”. I showed Brandon, and he checked the system preference and found that I have a completely restored battery life! NO LIE! Completely and fully charged, with hundreds of charges left on it. I actually screamed, “God healed my computer!!!” I didn’t know wether to throw up, laugh, or cry. Brandon sat there shocked. It is unbelievable. Not explainable. It is a miracle. A modern day, technological, miracle.  Who needs Apple care when you have GOD?????
