I totally forgot to update you all on what happened with the huge hurricane that was supposed to hit Haiti November 4, 5, 6th.
Thankfully, hurricane Thomas came and went without much trouble. Our flights back to Haiti were cancelled by AA, since it was forecasted to hit right when we landed on November 5th. Turns out, they got lots of rain and some pretty decent wind, but nothing too terrible. When we arrived on Monday the 8th we had rain pretty much all week. Usually, thunderheads just roll in most afternoons and it pours off and on all night. But that week, it poured all day and night, which was strange for sure. I would say all and all the immediate damage wasn’t too bad, except I believe it was from those rains that the cholera has now spread even more.
